Photographic Proof of Climate Change
15 Sep 2013
Even the most thick-shinned, bone-headed
skeptic-denier can't deny this photographic evidence.
Check out these
Unretouched time lapse photographs of the Antipodes Islands Botanic Gardens.
Exhibit 1: February 2000
Lush greenery abounds. Too bad the flora isn't native but at least the trees and shrubs are healthy.
Exhibit 2: May 2009
A mere nine years later and global warming has resulted in the trees and bushes clearly being stressed.
Exhibit 3: August 2015
Complete defoliation! The trees stood no chance. Was there a connection between their final decline and offshore oil drilling?
Or did the carbon dioxide poison the trees?
If that's not enough, look how boaties at the Antipodes Islands Harbour are now mooring their boats - to guard
against sudden inevitable catastrophic irreversible sea level rise. Let's face it- boaties aren't known for their environmental credentials: they vacuum fish out of the sea and dump thousands of tonnes of raw sewage, plastics
and other rubbish in our oceans each year. So if they are
worried about sea level rise then it must be true.
And if that's not enough, look at this menacing cloud looming over the urban heat island of Dunedin, New Zealand. Wow just weather - or more globally significant climate change metaphor)
